Lightning Bolt Prepare New Album

Warn your neighbors, soundproof your walls, and buy some earplugs-- noisy Rhode Islanders Lightning Bolt are back with a new album, their first since 2003's Wonderful Rainbow. The band's label, Load Records, describes it as a "torpedo hit detonating with riffs constructed in a psychic sweatbox. Psionic attack forthcoming." Ouch!
The disc is titled Scribblemania 2 (Scribble Harder? Electric Scribbloo?) and will be available on October 18. It will be available in both CD and 2xLP formats. Engineered by Dave Auchenbach, the album is scheduled to be mastered on July 29 at Peerless Mastering. A tracklist is not yet available, but we are told the album will be 60 minutes long. Also, we know that many of the songs were played on the band's last few tours, so you may have heard them-- if your ear drums weren't blown out your ass.
