Clap Your Hands Plan Vinyl Release, Euro Tour
One of our favorite things about Clap Your Hands Say Yeah is the group of pink and yellow blob people that serve as their mascots. Now imagine those blobs spinning records. Unbelievably cute, right? (And kinda creepy, too.)
CYHSY recently announced that the vinyl version of their self-titled debut will see the light of many a fan's glowing face come December 6 in the U.S. In addition, Wichita Recordings will release the album in Europe on January 23. Clap Your Hands Say Oui, Ja, Si, etc.
Europeans will also have several chances to clap their hands in the presence of Clap Your Hands in 2006, as the band has scheduled a tour of the UK and Ireland for February. For those of us back in the States, our only currently scheduled opportunity to see Alec Ounsworth and co. rock out live is a New Year's Eve show in the band's hometown of New York City, with buddies the National and Dr. Dog opening. Oh wait-- it's sold out already. Doh! Stupid internet hype! However, the band is planning their first American headlining tour for some time early next year, so watch out.with the National, Dr. Dog
